I am so close to wrapping up the sagging floor project but I have had a setback. After having primed the floor and the pedestal, and added 3 coats of Interlux’ Perfection Paint, I decided that I didn’t like the color. Its frustrating as the next step should have been to lay down the final anti skid layer and eventually re-assemble the steering pedestal. I was originally all setup to be finished this project by the May 15th weekend so I could move to my new summer slip. But now that I decided to change the color, I have to go back and apply 3 coats of this new color, then 2 coats of anti skid, then wait 7 days to cure, and then finally re-assemble the steering. Frustrating.. but what can I do. Its easier to fix this color problem now than to stare at it grumbling all summer, and spend ages sanding the anti-skid down next year when I correct the problem. At least I am getting plenty of practice painting with this Perfection paint.
