Well I missed my deadline. I wanted to have the cockpit floor ready this weekend but I am about a week behind. This weekend was the big launch day at the marina where over 800 boats are dropped back into the water. The marina is full of weekend boaters all prepping their boats.
What really set me back was that I had the wrong color for the cockpit floor project. I lost a good 5 days with that. The good news is I have placed the first coat of anti-skid paint on the floor and should have the 2nd coat on in place tomorrow morning. I will give that a few days to cure and start assembling the steering assembly sometime mid week. Hopefully if I can figure out how everything goes back together, I can have the boat working again and move to the summer slip by the weekend.
In the mean time while I wait for paint to dry, I will start prepping the engine. I have some research to do on how to change the fuel filter, transmission fluid, and check the oil level. I also have to start cleaning the deck up of all my tools. I will need to remove the plastic bubble around my boat and the upcoming weather forecast this week seems to be cooperating.
